Destination X Season 2: NBC Renews the Adventure! | Official Trailer (2026)

Get ready for an exciting journey as 'Destination X' is back for a thrilling second season on NBC! This unique show has captured the imagination of viewers, and now it's returning with even more adventure and mystery.

In 'Destination X', a fresh batch of contestants embarks on an epic road trip, but with a twist - they have no clue where they are! It's a race against the unknown, and the thrill of discovery is amplified with the introduction of reality TV stars like JaNa Craig from 'Love Island USA' and Peter Weber from 'The Traitors'.

The first season, which premiered in May 2025, was a massive hit, attracting an average of 14 million viewers across linear and streaming platforms in its initial 26 days. NBC proudly proclaimed that 'Destination X' not only topped the charts as the leading alternative series on Peacock but also emerged as the No. 1 new show of the summer, reaching an impressive 20 million viewers across all platforms during its 10-episode run.

But here's where it gets controversial... The show's format is based on a Belgian concept, created by Geronimo and distributed by Be-Entertainment. As part of a partnership between NBCUniversal and the BBC, the BBC also produced its own version, although its future is uncertain.

And this is the part most people miss... 'Destination X' is not just about the destination; it's about the journey and the challenges along the way. Contestants must solve puzzles and overcome obstacles to uncover their mystery location. They travel in a blacked-out bus, with challenges designed to offer hints and red herrings, keeping them on their toes. At the end of each episode, the contestant who guesses the farthest from the actual location is eliminated, packing their bags and saying goodbye to the competition.

The first season took viewers to iconic cities like London, Rome, Geneva, and Paris, offering a glimpse of the show's global appeal.

Production for Season 2 is set to begin later this year, with ITV-owned Twofour and Universal Television Alternative Studio at the helm. Andy Cadman will serve as showrunner, joined by an impressive team of executive producers, including Dean Morgan, Sophie Alcock, Darren Brown, Emanuel Vanderjeugd, and Twofour's Dan Adamson and Shireen Abbott.

Sharon Vuong, EVP of Unscripted Programming at NBC, shared her excitement, saying, "'Destination X' is returning with the world as our playground to deliver new unforgettable adventures that will keep viewers guessing every step of the way. With the incredible Jeffrey Dean Morgan leading the way, Season 2 promises to surprise and push the boundaries of unscripted television."

Toby Gorman, President of Universal Television Alternative Studio, added, "'Destination X' offers a truly global experience, and with this new season, we're taking it to the next level. The contestants and audience can expect bigger, bolder, and completely unexpected adventures."

So, are you ready to join the journey? 'Destination X' is set to deliver an unforgettable experience, but will it live up to the hype? What do you think? Let's discuss in the comments!
